UNIONDALE, N.Y.- It's a brave, new world for Raw, and it's one without John Laurinaitis. The former General Manager of Raw and SmackDown was fired by Mr. McMahon at No Way Out, then given a painful farewell by John Cena on Raw SuperShow after Big Show and David Otunga both abandoned him. Replacing Big Johnny for this week as Interim General Manager was none other than Mick Foley, and the WWE Legend quickly made an impact with his savvy matchmaking. Also on Raw, find out what Brock Lesnar's representative Paul Heyman did to make WWE COO Triple H knock him out cold!

Mick Foley named Interim General Manager for Raw and SmackDown this week

Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy is back! After receiving a warm ovation from the Nassau Coliseum crowd, Long Island, N.Y.'s own Mick Foley said he received an invite from the Board of Directors to host both Raw and SmackDown this week as WWE evaluates who will run the shows after John Laurinaitis' firing. With his first act as the guest General Manager, Foley revealed WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus would face Daniel Bryan and Kane in a tag team match tonight.

Laurinaitis came out to make his farewell address, but was promptly greeted by chants of 'You got fired!' by the WWE Universe.

When he tried to make his formal introduction, the vocal WWE fans gave Big Johnny an earful of boos, to which he yelled at them to shut up and stop being rude.

Saying he would make his farewell address later, Laurinaitis announced that as his final act as General Manager, he made a 3-on-1 Handicap Match for tonight's Raw, pitting him, Big Show and David Otunga against John Cena - his 'parting gift' to the Cenation leader and the WWE Universe.

Mick Foley's first match as the interim GM turned out to be a spectacular - and bizarre - one.

Kane and Daniel Bryan let out their frustrations on WWE Champion CM Punk after winding up on the losing end of a Triple Threat Match at No Way Out.

Bryan repeatedly whipped Sheamus' midsection with some vicious kicks and The Big Red Monster dished out some punishment of his own. However, the resilient Celtic Warrior hung tough and was able to make the tag when he needed to most. The Straight Edge Superstar laid into Bryan with a brutal running knee at the turnbuckle and followed with a running bulldog, but the submission specialist powered back with a big superplex.

Then, totally out of nowhere, AJ made a jaw-dropping entrance, skipping out to the ring in a Kane mask and matching outfit. After continuing to skip around the ring, AJ made her way back up the entrance ramp, leaving Kane bewildered by her creepy cameo. As The Devil's Favorite Demon wandered off distracted, Punk capitalized with a Go to Sleep and Sheamus nailed Bryan with a crushing Brogue Kick to get the victory.

Dolph Ziggler got into a heated argument with Jack Swagger, calling him the weak link in their tag team, and claimed The All-American American was just riding his coattails.

Vickie Guerrero interrupted the altercation and said it was time to make her decision over which Superstar truly deserves her admiration, respect and affection. The Cougar revealed that she asked Mick Foley to make a match so the two Superstars could settle the dispute in the ring one-on-one.
The crowd was firmly behind Ziggler from the early going, but Swagger exerted his strength to keep The Showoff glued to the mat. When Ziggler appeared to injure his knee, The All-American American wasted no time inflicting pain on his ligaments, twisting on the bad knee with an ankle lock. Dolph showed plenty of heart, however, by fighting through the pain and surprising Swagger with a Zig Zag for the victory. Guerrero then showed her approval by planting a passionate celebratory kiss on Ziggler.

Brock Lesnar's representative Paul Heyman told the WWE Universe that Brock will not agree to fight Triple H at SummerSlam and he will not drop his lawsuit against WWE. Before Heyman could get far into his diatribe, Triple H came out to the ring and said Brock will agree to fight The Game because the WWE COO can give him what he wants. Showing off a mock poster of SummerSlam with Lesnar on it, Triple H played up to the behemoth's apparent ego and claimed Brock can either fight him at SummerSlam or go down as the man who was too scared to fight The King of Kings.

Heyman quickly denied Triple H's claims and even dared the fuming WWE COO to hit him. After saying he didn't have anything for Triple H, but had something for Stephanie, Triple H's wife, The Game ferociously grabbed Heyman by the tie and cut off his airflow.

After Triple H let him go, Heyman said he sees everything The Cerebral Assassin does from a mile away. The Game responded by knocking Heyman out cold as the crowd erupted. As Brock's representative laid unconscious on the canvas, The King of Kings left him with some final bold words: 'You tell Brock Lesnar I will see him at SummerSlam ... that is, unless he's afraid the same thing will happen to him.'

Alberto Del Rio was full of fire after missing out on an opportunity to face Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title at No Way Out due to a concussion.

After U.S. Champion Santino Marella weakened The Mexican Aristocrat, he reached for The Cobra and prepared to strike, but Del Rio drilled The Milan Miracle with a head-snapping enzuigiriand locked on the Cross Armbreaker to make him tap out.

Ricardo Rodriguez, clearly still miffed after losing his Tuxedo Match to Marella at No Way Out, added insult to injury by inflicting further punishment on Santino's arm following the bout.

Divas Champion Layla introduced Grammy Award-winning musician Cyndi Lauper and WWE Hall of Famer Wendi Richter and thanked them for paving the way for the future generation of Divas. In her first appearance in a WWE ring in 27 years, Lauper accompanied the very woman she managed at the very first WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden to the ring.

Cyndi told everyone how great it is to be back in WWE alongside her girl Wendi before she was swiftly interrupted by Heath Slater, who began to sing his new single, 'The One Man Band,' much to the crowd's displeasure. 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper made a shocking appearance to put an end to the musical sideshow and told 'Ms. Slater' to take a hike.

A visibly emotional 'Hot Rod' presented Lauper with a framed gold record on behalf of himself, the late, great Captain Lou Albano and the entire WWE Universe for her contributions. Slater then began to sing again, but Piper countered with a poke to the eyes, followed by Lauper smashing the record over The One Man Southern Rock Band's head.

A.W. proved he's out to protect his No. 1 contenders, regardless of what the WWE Universe thinks of his tactics.

The Prime Time Players had their hands full with Primo and Epico as the former WWE Tag Team Champions took it to the arrogant duo from the get-go.

After Primo and Epico hit a double baseball slide on The Prime Time Players and knocked them to the arena floor, A.W. sensed trouble and pulled his clients to safety and completely out of the matchup, resulting in an intentional count-out.

John Laurinaitis refused to make a quiet exit. Sporting a neck brace and crutches, the former General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations repeatedly called members of the WWE Universe 'losers' because they've lost 'People Power.' After making his entrance, Big Show thanked Laurinaitis for signing him to an ironclad contract and the big, fat bonus, but stated there's no reason The World's Largest Athlete should be in the ring tonight. Big Show then left Laurinaitis and David Otunga high and dry, making it a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against John Cena instead.
It was all Otunga in the early going as The A-Lister tossed Cena hard into the steel ringside steps and bowled over the Cenation leader with a big running shoulder block. Laurinaitis' farewell match took a turn for the worse, however, after Big Johnny tagged in and started to pile on Cena. It was then that Otunga stunned his old boss by taking a walk, becoming the second Superstar to leave Laurinaitis hanging in the main event.

From there, it was pain on top of humiliating pain for Big Johnny. The Cenation leader hit Laurinaitis with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and slammed him to the canvas with an Attitude Adjustment, but he wasn't done yet. Pointing to former SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who was sitting ringside, Cena dropped Laurinaitis with another A.A., then a third one for good measure at the cheering fans' request. Finally, Cena put an end to Laurinaitis' misery as he locked on the STF and made him tap out.

It was a farewell address - and beating - that the WWE Universe won't soon forget.

WWE Smackdown Results 15 June 2012

Things got crazy two days before No Way Out

MANCHESTER, N.H. – As tempers raged between several No Way Out adversaries – two days before the explosive pay-per-view – a visiting John Cena laid out General Manager John Laurinaitis and set himself up to be fired if he loses on Sunday.
Before AJ could offer an explanation as to why she kissed Kane on Monday's Raw SuperShow, she was interrupted by Vickie Guerrero. WWE’s resident Cougar preferred to introduce the Superstar who, four days earlier, won the right to challenge World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus at No Way Out, Dolph Ziggler.
In the midst of The Showoff and his "excuse me!"-wielding cohort's attempt to take over, Vickie slapped AJ for calling her a “grandma” and ordered her out of "Dolph’s ring." Rather than launching a counter attack, AJ just leered back with a twisted smile.
After WWE Champion CM Punk emerged and laid a sea of insults on both Vickie and Ziggler, Daniel Bryan also opted to join the fun. WWE’s “Yes” man expressed his elation that both Punk and Kane were, in his estimation, making the same “mistake” he made of getting mixed up with AJ – since her “bad luck” would allow him to walk out of No Way Out the WWE Champion.
Sheamus then entered the mix in explosive fashion. While once again disputing that AJ had anything to do with Bryan losing to him in 18 seconds at WrestleMania, The Great White informed Ziggler that by capturing Alberto Del Rio's spot as the No. 1 contender, he had simply given the first Irish-born World Heavyweight Champion the chance to beat him again.
With all the principals in the ring together, The Celtic Warrior proposed that they have their scheduled main event tag team match right then and there. But before they could, AJ looked to take care of “old business,” lunging toward Guerrero in an absolute frenzy as Punk held her back.

Daniel Bryan & Dolph Ziggler def. WWE Champion CM Punk & World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus

In the culmination of SmackDown’s tag team slugfest that pitted the two World Champions against two of their respective No Way Out challengers, Sheamus looked ready to hit the Brogue Kick on Dolph Ziggler for the victory. This brought Vickie Guerrero to the apron, only to be dumped into the ring by AJ. Though her actions proved crowd-pleasing, the bedlam allowed the quick-thinking Showoff to roll up the World Heavyweight Champion for the huge three-count!
As a shocked and defeated Celtic Warrior proceeded to chase his No. 1 contender into the crowd, AJ joined Vickie in the ring with a frightening steadiness. In Guerrero's biggest mistake of the night, she proceeded to push her pursuer, bringing an out-of-control assault upon herself by the twisted beauty. AJ's hysterical prey would only escape the fevered onslaught by kicking her attacker into the ring apron and running for dear life.
Then out of nowhere, Kane – the third combatant in the WWE Title Triple Threat Match at No Way Out – emerged, picking up the downed AJ and carrying her up the ramp. This ignited further warfare between The Big Red Monster, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan – ending with The Devil’s Favorite Demon chokeslamming both Superstars to the canvas.
As the monstrous Superstar locked eyes again with AJ once again, the wild Diva dropped to her knees in an almost possessed looking frenzy.

Brodus Clay def. Heath Slater

Prior to his match with Health Slater, Brodus Clay addressed the WWE Universe about being banned from Raw, as well as not being able to touch John Laurinaitis’ “prized possession” Big Show. However, in reference to Big Johnny’s apparent promise that by the time SmackDown was over, the dancing Superstar would be "out on his back,” The Funkasaurus asked who was going to be the one to do it?
For a moment, it seemed that the answer was meant to be Brodus’ opponent, Heath Slater. But, moments after the unimpressed rhythmic big man soundly defeated “The One Man Southern Rock Band” with the splash, it became clear that the threat had not been squashed.
As he celebrated with The Funkadactyls, Brodus was suddenly attacked by David Otunga from behind. The Harvard graduate delivered a calculating attack, leaving his prey with a serious knee injury. Was this a favor for John Laurinaitis or simply a strategic move before the two face off in the No Way Out Pre-Show match this Sunday?

Beth Phoenix def. Alicia Fox

With Divas Champion Layla joining the SmackDown announce team, her No Way Out No. 1 contender Beth Phoenix swiftly overcame Alicia Fox with the Glam Slam. Could the dominant showing by The Fabulous Firebird simply be a prelude to what the WWE Universe will see in the battle for the butterfly-emblazoned title this Sunday?

Big Show addressed punching Mr. McMahon on Raw and talked about what awaited John Cena at No Way Out

John Laurinaitis came before the WWE Universe, giving a public apology to Mr. McMahon for Big Show punching him on Monday’s Raw SuperShow – before making his professional recommendation that at his age, the celebrated head of WWE should stay away from The World Largest Athlete. He went on to say that Big Show will defeat John Cena in the Steel Cage Match at No Way Out this Sunday.
Big Show then emerged, explaining the beef he had with WWE since he climbed into its ring for the first time 14 years ago. The giant made it clear that he was proud not to be John Cena. He then added that unlike the punch on Mr. McMahon on Monday, what he would do to John Cena at No Way Out would be extremely deliberate, calculated and uncomfortable. Considering the pay-per-view showdown his “first match,” Show guaranteed victory.
However, as the giant was leaving the ring, Michael Cole stopped him, revealing the monumental announcement – “on good authority” – that John Cena was coming to SmackDown later that night. Show responded that when that happened, he would not be hard to find.

Intercontinental Champion Christian def. Jack Swagger

Four days ago, Vickie Guerrero’s Superstar, Dolph Ziggler, triumphed in a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender’s Match over Christian, The Great Khali and Jack Swagger – earning him the right to face World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus at No Way Out.
On SmackDown, her other Superstar – The All-American American – would take on Christian one-on-one, but Captain Charisma would ultimately rise above. After knocking his opponent off the ropes, the Intercontinental Champion hit the frog splash for the victory.
Will his win give Christian the momentum he needs to beat former champion Cody Rhodes this Sunday?

Ryback def. two local athletes in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match

Before facing the undefeated Ryback, his latest victims decided to use their pre-match prep time to tell some jokes. But, once the bell rang, the animalistic Superstar would be the one to deliver the painful punch line, decimating both athletes at the same time, before finishing them with Shell Shocked.

Damien Sandow def. Tyson Kidd

Last week, the accused “ignoramus” Tyson Kidd “accosted” Damien Shadow to stop him from attacking Hornswoggle.
As a result, the self-professed “Intellectual Savior of the Unwashed Masses” stated that the last graduate of the legendary Hart Family Dungeon would learn the consequences of undermining, not only his own enlightenment, but the enlightenment of the entire WWE Universe.
And after countering Kidd’s Sharpshooter attempt in glorious fashion, the vicious Sandow dropped his opponent to the canvas for another triumph.

While in search of Big Show, John Cena attacked John Laurinaitis

A determined John Cena emerged on SmackDown, kicking in the door to General Manager John Laurinaitis’ office before making his way to the ring to call out Big Show. This came in response to the big man’s earlier statements against him.
Big Johnny arrived on the scene instead, informing the 10-time WWE Champion that Big Show was not coming out. Due to an edict by the WWE Board of Directors that the No Way Out Match between Cena and the giant will happen no matter what, “Mr. Excitement” explained that he sent Show home for the protection of all involved.
Though the General Manager of Raw and SmackDown warned Cena that if he chose to assault him instead, he would be fired, the leader of the Cenation did it anyway.
The guaranteed pay-per-view showdown will prevent "Mr. Excitement" from firing Cena before No Way Out. But as a result of the altercation, someone will definitely be fired once the smoke clears this Sunday. Will it be "Mr. McMahon" firing John Laurinaitis or Mr. Excitement firing John Cena?

Top Ten Moments that shocked Monday Night Raw

With the thousandth episode of Monday Night Raw on the way, I want to take a look back at some of MNR’s most shocking moments (in my mind) that captivated the longest running televised show in history, ever since 1993. And once again, these ten moments are in no particular order, because I don’t want to play favorites whatsoever.
1. Invasion Of The Nexus
Possibly one of the biggest threats to the WWE since the Alliance Invasion of 2001, the introduction and invasion of the NXT Season 1 rookies, better known as “The Nexus.” Their first target was the legendary Bret Hart, and the brunt of their assaults, John Cena. For months, The Nexus terrorized everyone from legends, announcers, superstars, referees, etc, until Cena decided to fight back, though it took through December to finally rid the WWE of Nexus.
2. Live Sex, Camera, Action!
After Edge won the WWE Title in 2006 at the now defunct New Year’s Revolution pay-per-view, Edge decided to celebrate “his way” with a live sex celebration with Lita. It was the highest rated segment and still is to this day. The rivalry between Edge and Cena heated up 2006, and ended in an ironic way, with Edge losing in his own match in his hometown of Toronto at Unforgiven. The segment took Raw to the extreme from what it did in the Attitude Era.
3. The Chain Gang Comes To Monday Nights
After winning the WWE Title from JBL at WrestleMania 21, and then defeating him again in an I Quit match at Judgment Day in 2005, John Cena was drafted to Raw and quickly drew the ire of one Eric Bischoff, and quickly became a draw to MNR, and continued a 9 or 10-month reign as WWE Champion.
4. Austin 3:16 vs. McMahon 6:32
The Austin/McMahon rivalry was one of the single biggest things to hit Monday nights. Adding in characters like The Rock, Shane McMahon, Big Show, Kane/Undertaker, etc. put a lot of profit into this rivalry which fans knew from the start would take the WWE to epic heights. Everything from Austin being arrested to McMahon peeing his pants, the zamboni, and so on made this rivalry and every segment with Austin and/or McMahon watchable.
5. “I Am The Best WRESTLER In The World.”
On June 27, 2011, CM Punk delivered the most-epic shoot promo against the company he was leaving (or supposedly leaving). He said he was the “best WRESTLER [not sports entertainer] in the world.” That night, the WWE changed forever, especially after the Money In The Bank pay-per-view when Punk “left the company” with the WWE Title, and then a few weeks later, the prodigal WWE Champion returned as the Cult Of Personality.
6. Pillman’s Got A Gun
Brian Pillman (in my mind) is one of the most underrated talents in professional wrestling history, and one of the best there has ever been. His relationship with Stone Cold Steve Austin is one that stands alone. In the mid-late ’90s, Austin “invaded” Brian Pillman’s home while Pillman laid on his couch with a foot injury. With an unstable Pillman and his loving wife at his Cincinnati home, Austin invaded his home, beat up some of Pillman’s friends and threatened his very life, untiled Austin 3:16 was met by “Pillman 9mm.” Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
7. One, Two, Three.
They say “anything can happen in the WWE.” Anything did happen in the WWE, when the underdog known as the “1-2-3 Kid” defeated Razor Ramon in a one-on-one contest one Monday night in 1993.
8. Degenrating The McMahon Family
2006 saw the return of the controversial faction known as D-Generation X, and saw chaos and hilarity ensue on Monday nights. Triple H & Shawn Michaels reunited to take down the tyrannical Vince McMahon. Everything from defacing Vince’s office, skimpy cheerleaders, rigging around the production truck, and everything else in between, DX made Vince & Shane’s lives a living nightmare, even when Vince & Shane brought in the likes of Umaga, the Spirit Squad, Big Show, and anyone else.
9. Home Invasion
In early 2009, Triple H was involved in a personal vendetta against the cold and icy Randy Orton. One Monday night, Triple H made his way to St. Louis to invade the home of the 2009 Royal Rumble winner, Randy Orton. He came in Rambo-style with a sledgehammer and chased Orton throughout his home, until the police arrived, arresting Triple H.
10. Rest In Peace Vince McMahon, Or Does He?
In 2007, Monday nights went a little bit loony, especially after Vince McMahon was shaved bald by Donald Trump and Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 23, and also lost the ECW Title at One Night Stand that year too. Vince said something bad would be happening to him. One Monday night, something did happen to him. He went crazy, stepped into a limo, and supposedly was blown up to death. Question on everyone’s mind was: Who Did It?. Well, it was no one, Vince faked his own death.

Details on Randy Orton’s suspension

As you have probably heard by now, Randy Orton was suspended on May 30th of this year for 60-days, due to his second violation of WWE’s Wellness Policy. His first suspension under the policy came in August of 2006; however, Orton did not miss any ring time. Instead, he was simply forced to work for 30 days without pay. At the time, WWE was going through several suspensions, and Orton was kept on TV to keep storylines going without having to make too many adjustments. This time, however, Orton will be kept both off the road and television for the full extent of his suspension, and will miss both the No Way Out and Money in the Bank pay-per-views. He will be eligible to return to television on July 30th, which will be a Monday Night RAW Supershow taping.
It was unknown at the time of the suspension what Orton got in trouble for, but details have begun to surface. It turns out that Orton tested positive for both marijuana and Dianabol. Orton was fined $2500.00 for the marijuana (which is not against the policy, but is still highly frowned on by WWE), while the Dianabol is what really got him in trouble. For those that might not be familiar, Dianabol is an illegal steroid that is taken orally. It was originally a legal substance, and quite popular in the sport of bodybuilding. In 1990, it was added as an amendment to the Controlled Substances Act, known as the “Anabolic Steroid Control Act of 1990″ (although without the consent of the DEA or National Institute on Drug Abuse). Although it is illegal, it is still very popular with athletes, especially bodybuilders and wrestlers.
While this is only Orton’s second suspension under the Wellness Policy, it is actually his fourth violation and third suspension in the company overall, with all four being related illegal substances. His first suspension came in 2006, where he was caught on film smoking marijuana. Many think the marijuana was simply an excuse to get rid of Orton for a bit, as he was known for having one of the worst attitudes in the locker room at the time. Later that year, he faced his first official Wellness violation (which I mentioned earlier), and in 2007, he was one of many wrestlers named in the Signature Pharmacy scandal. The scandal involved the names of several WWE wrestlers who showed up on a list for the pharmacy, with all receiving prescriptions for performance-enhancing drugs. Orton, however, was not suspended like the rest, as WWE claimed he had already told Vince McMahon about his ties with the pharmacy before the scandal broke.
Just before this 60-day suspension, Orton was originally scheduled to face Chris Jericho at No Way Out, but that match was scrapped when Jericho was suspended for 30 days following an incident at a live event in Brazil. It was reported Orton would be moving into a feud with Dolph Ziggler instead, however, because of the suspension, that too has been scrapped.
It is unknown what Orton’s future looks like at this point. Although he is a former multi-time WWE and World Champion and consistent main eventer, he may be demoted to the mid-card as punishment. Rey Mysterio, who is also out on suspension, is likely facing the same punishment, and there is a rumor he may not even be brought back when his 60 days are up.

WWE Best and Worst Finishers : RKO to the Cobra

One of the most important aspects of a pro-wrestling contest is the finishing move. The climax to a back and forth “fight”, the finisher is the move that garners the best of reactions. The superstars build up the match to a point where one of the performers defeats the other with the coup de grace. It is the exclamation point to a good match and can easily ruin the whole contest if not executed to perfection. I will now talk about some of the best and worst finishers in the WWE today.
BEST FINISHERS
1)      RKO – The eponymous move is one of the most exciting in the business. The move has grown to a point where it is difficult to separate the superstar from it. Randy Orton owes some of the best moments of his career to this move. The traditional cutter has been used by many, (Triple H, the Hardy Boyz etc.) but has not has the huge success of the modified jumping cutter that Orton uses. It is an extremely versatile move and helps Orton strike from out of nowhere. The RKO engages the audience and you are assured of an RKO chant every time Orton wrestles. Though easier to execute (compared to other moves), Orton sells the move like no other.
2)      LeBell Lock – The current World Heavyweight Champ uses this submission move to perfection. The fact that Bryan is a genius inside the ring sure helps his cause. The LeBell Lock looks painful and suits Bryan’s in ring style. It reminds me of a slightly tamer version of the Crippler Crossface, made famous by the one and only Chris Benoit. Bryan is competent enough to pull the move off and has even put the lock on the Big Show!
3)      Trouble In Paradise – Though the boom dropping Jamaican complains about being overlooked, I assure you that his finisher will never be sidelined. A modified jumping roundhouse kick, the TIP kick looks legitimate enough to knock out people. Kofi’s athleticism in the ring helps him connect the kick with awesome precision. The move is versatile and can be delivered from unpredictable spots.
4)      Air Bourne/ The 450 Splash – Two superstars who totally depend on their finishers to further their fledgling careers. The high flyers of today are not in the league of earlier greats like Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio etc., but their moves certainly bring back old memories. Since the scrapping of the Cruiserweight Division, we haven’t seen any great high flyers in the business. These two could be the leaders of a future division. Their moves – Air Bourne (Shooting Star Press) and the 450 Splash are excellent climactic moves which grab the audience’s attention. These moves are believable because flying is the only way they’ll ever muster up enough offence to defeat a bigger superstar.
WORST FINISHERS
1)      Cobra – I know that Santino Marella is a comic wrestler and he isn’t booked to win matches. Even so, it is ridiculous to have a guy put on a rubber film on his hand and “strike” like a snake. It is totally unbelievable and does no damage whatsoever. The use of Mr. Socko by Mankind had more credibility (slightly more) because it was a submission maneuver. A guy would eventually give up if you have a smelly sock in his mouth!
The Cobra is even lamer than the Tadpole Splash (Hornswaggle). But I guess we’ll be seeing more of it since the WWE has no plans to push Santino up the ladder.
2)      The People’s Elbow/ The Five Knuckle Shuffle – The “greatest” Wrestlemania match ever will see two of the worst finishers ever. I know I’ll get a lot of flak for this and I probably “can’t see” the “most electrifying move in ALL of sports entertainment”. I’m sorry, I just don’t buy it. How do the guys stay down for so long? And tell me you haven’t seen the guys on the mat adjust themselves to take the fall. All said and done, these are only an elbow drop and a fist drop respectively. Minimum damage done. It’s for the best that the WWE gave these moves to the two most charismatic wrestlers of all time. Only the Rock and John Cena could sell these atrocities!
3)      WMD – the Big Show employs this move to knock out his opponents. If he can knock them out in one punch, why doesn’t he do it earlier in the match? The Chokeslam looks far more effective than the WMD. Also, Show uses normal punches throughout his matches. Am I to believe that he gathers some supernatural force into his fist when he clenches it angrily?
A normal punch used by a giant is effective. Just don’t overuse it. Let the Chokeslam be reinstated. Please.
